Named after Martyn Hett, a victim of the Manchester Arena bombing in 2017, The law is being introduced in order to improve security measures and preparedness in premises to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of individuals and communities.

PREPARATION
IS KEY
Martyn’s Law will place a requirement on those responsible for certain locations to consider the threat of terrorism and implement appropriate and proportionate mitigation measures.
The legislation will apply across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. Although no final date has yet been set, it’s indicated that this legislation could come into play in Spring 2024.
